Bioinformatics centre, College
of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Central Agricultural
University, Selesih, Aizawl was established in 2008 with
the financial aid from Department of Biotechnology, Ministry
of Science and Technology, Government of India. The centre
has procured necessary components prescribed by the DBT.
Major research activities
The Centre
is engaged in physical and molecular characterization
and conservation of animal genetic resources of NE region
and identification of molecular markers for various production
and disease resistant genes.
