The Bioinformatics Infrastructure
Facility (BIF) was established with grant received from
the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science
and Technology, Govt. of India. |

| Major research activities

Work on comparative genomics and
horizontal gene transfer has been initiated.
-
Work is being continued on virtual
screening, for Lead identification, of novel biomolecules
synthesized according to the principles of Green Chemistry.
-
Data generated by wetlab studies
on population genetics and biodiversity is being analysed
using software available in the BIF.
