The Bioinformatics Centre at
NEIST, was established in 2nd, February, 2008 under the
Project “Creation of Bioinformatics Infrastructure
Facility (BIF) for the promotion of Biology teaching through
bioinformatics (BTBI)“ funded by Department of Biotechnology,
Govt. of India. |
Since its inception, the Centre
was involved in promotion and exploration of bioinformatics
and its application on the other branches of the Sciences.
The Centre basically providing the long term training program
for the students of different academic institution of NE
India and playing a vital role in Human Resource Development
in the field of Bioinformatics.
To date, more than hundred
students were successfully completed Bioinformatics training
(long and short term training) course at this Centre. |
